ART WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN
On the following Sundays: 3 / 10 / 17 / 31 August and 7 / 14 September 2025, 3:00 p.m.

The Schloss Wiepersdorf Art Workshop for Children takes place for the first time in summer 2025. On six Sundays, children aged 7 to 11 can paint, draw, model and get creative. The workshop will be run by Nick Crowe (Galerie Jägerschere, Wiepersdorf) and Kaj Osteroth (former Wiepersdorf scholarship holder).

It will take place on the following Sundays: August 3, 10, 17, 31 and September 7 and 14, 3.00 - 5.00 p.m. Registration is not required.

HEAVEN’S HUMAN JUKEBOX: WITH THE ARTIST O.W. HIMMEL

The visual artist O.W. Himmel sees himself as an archivist of everyday graphic and typographic culture. For decades, he has been collecting unique logos and brandings, which he elevates to art in the form of enlarged linoprints. On this event, O.W. Himmel will show the linoprints of one record label at a time and play a 7-inch single from the corresponding label.

GROUP FELLOWSHIP: 2ND WIEPERSDORF FORUM ON ANTISEMITISM IN LITERARY EXHIBITIONS

The 2nd Wiepersdorf Forum on Anti-Semitism in Literary Exhibitions took place on July 2-4, 2025, following the successful kick-off in 2024. It was organized by Dr. Nike Thurn from the German Historical Museum in Berlin, Stella Leder from the Institut für Neue Soziale Plastik and Prof. Dr. Marcel Lepper, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf, together with the Cultural Foundation.

The starting point is the observation that an intensive examination of literary anti-Semitism in German literary archives, literary exhibitions and literary museums has not happened yet, while ethnological, historical and art-historical museums are increasingly taking a critical look at their collections.

BOOK RELEASE
YULIA MARFUTOVA: EINE CHANCE IST EIN HÖCHSTENS SPATZENGROSSER VOGEL

In August, the new novel by former Wiepersdorf fellow Yulia Marfutova will be published by Rowohlt publishing house: “Eine Chance ist ein höchstens spatzengroßer Vogel” (An Opportunity is a Bird the Size of a Sparrow at Most) is a moving Jewish-Russian family story.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK

The café in the Orangery and the museum at Schloss Wiepersdorf are open on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
