Philipp Krebs studied composition with Martin Schüttler/Marco Stroppa at the HMDK Stuttgart, with Gordon Kampe at the HfMT Hamburg and additionally philosophy at the University of Stuttgart. Concerts and performances took place at the Donaueschingen Musiktage Next Generation, ECLAT Festival Stuttgart, ACHT BRÜCKEN Cologne, blurred edges Hamburg, Klub Katarakt Hamburg, Der Sommer in Stuttgart and Kyung Hee Composition Festival Seoul. His works have been performed in collaborations with Ensemble Modern, Decoder Ensemble, AAA-AAA Gitarrenduo, electronic ID, Pony Says, LJE Neue Musik Baden-Württemberg, Suono Mobile, emex-Ensemble and ensemble recherche. His work is characterized by the incorporation of performative, installative, and electronic elements, with thematic foci on critical engagement with contemporary pop culture and politics. Since 2019, Philipp Krebs has been increasingly involved in the composition of theater music and appears as a stage musician and performer himself.
