General information

  • Please read the General information and the guidelines on our website at Individual/Cooperation Fellowships carefully.
  • You may apply for a single fellowship (1 person) or for a cooperation fellowship (1 person with up to 2 guests arriving in a row in the three-month period).
  • The duration of the fellowship is three months. For scientific scholarships, a shorter period of stay can be specified if necessary.
  • Applications are possible in one discipline only.
  • It is strongly recommended to first prepare the information offline and insert it into the form afterwards.
  • The application form has to be sent by 15 April 2024, 11.59 p.m. Central European Summer Time (CEST). Please keep in mind that uploading the documents may take some time. Documents that do not arrive on time must be excluded from the application process.
  • You will receive information on the work samples as soon as you have selected a discipline.
  • Work samples may be submitted in English or German language.
  • Please note that Schloss Wiepersdorf is located in a rural region and check before you apply whether this suits your way of working.
  • Re-applications after a previous stay will only be shortlisted again in exceptional cases.

Project

Please indicate in the detailed project description to what extent the guest or the two guests who arrive one after the other are involved in the artistic production.

Work samples: Literature, Science/Romanticism and Science/Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany

The publication of at least one opus by a publisher or undertaking a doctoral degree is mandatory for a fellowship.

Please select a maximum of one work or excerpts (ca. 15 pages) from it (already published or part of the proposed project), and hand in a copy (one PDF; max. 30 MB) of the selected work sample.

You will receive the upload link for the work sample automatically after submitting this application form. The work sample must have been successfully uploaded no later than 15 April 2024, 11.59 p.m. (CEST). Please note that uploading larger files can take several minutes, so please start the upload in time, we recommend several hours before the deadline. Any materials that arrive after the deadline will not be considered. Please do not send work samples or publications by mail or email!

Work samples: Visual Arts

A public exhibition or participation in a group exhibition is mandatory for a fellowship.

You can enter links (URL) to websites with your works and the corresponding title or description in the fields provided. The links (URLs) can, for example, lead to film or digital works on Vimeo, YouTube or the artist's own website, the website of a gallery or an exhibition project. Video and audio formats can only be submitted via these links (URL). The works must be directly viewable; therefore, you cannot link to zip folders or other files for download. A registration may not be required.

In addition, after submitting this application form, you will automatically receive an upload link via which you can submit three work samples (PDF or JPG only; max. 30 MB in total). Please use this option for images of your work of exhibition views. One PDF may contain multiple images/works. The work samples must have been successfully uploaded no later than 15.04.2024, 11.59 pm (CEST). Please note that uploading larger files may take longer. Therefore, please start the upload in time—at least several hours before the deadline. Any materials that arrive after the deadline will not be considered. Please do not send work samples or portfolios by mail or email!

Work samples: Composition

Prerequisite for a fellowship is the public performance of at least one work.

Below you can enter links (URL) to websites with your own work and the corresponding title or description in the fields provided. The links can point to, for example, concert recordings on Vimeo, YouTube, SoundCloud or your own website. The works must be directly viewable; therefore, you cannot link to zip folders or other files for download. A registration may not be required.

In addition, you will automatically receive an upload link after submitting this application form, which you can use to upload up to six work samples (e.g., scores as PDF and/or audio as mp3 and/or as AAC and/or video as mp4, max. 30 MB in total). The work samples must have been successfully uploaded by 15.04.2024, 11.59 pm (CEST) at the latest. Please note that uploading larger files may take longer. Therefore, please start the upload in time—at least several hours before the deadline. Materials received after the deadline will not be considered. Please do not send samples of your work by mail or e-mail!

Privacy protection policy

The Schloss Wiepersdorf Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf) collects your data exclusively to facilitate conducting of the fellowship application procedure at Schloss Wiepersdorf. The data is stored on a server at ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, until the end of the application procedure. By submitting your application form, you grant your consent to having your data be processed internally and passed on to judges selected by the Schloss Wiepersdorf Cultural Foundation exclusively for the purpose of the selection procedure.

The Schloss Wiepersdorf Cultural Foundation will provide you with information about your data that it stores at any time. You also have the right to rectification or erasure at any time as well as the right to object to the further processing of your data.
