European Fellowship Program in Wiepersdorf

In the fall of 2026, three outstanding scholars will be visiting Wiepersdorf as part of a European fellowship program sponsored by the Brandenburg Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture. Dr. Esra Demir-Gürsel is a legal scholar from Berlin and Istanbul specializing in international human rights, Prof. Jonathan White is a professor of political science at the London School of Economics, where he conducts research on democracy, political thought, and political theory; and Dr. Ewa Wojno-Owczarska is a literary scholar and comparative literature specialist from Warsaw and the director of the Humboldt Network Topographien der Globalisierung/Topographies of Globalisation.

They will gather on November 4, 2026, at the Brandenburg State Representation in Berlin for a public event as part of Science Week to discuss the challenges facing Europe.
