Café in the Orangery and Museum Reopen for the Season
The new visitor season at Schloss Wiepersdorf has begun! From now through the end of September, the museum and the café in the Orangery are open every Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
In the museum, visitors can explore five exhibition rooms that trace the history of Schloss Wiepersdorf – from its origins as the von Arnim family estate to its present role as a residence for artists and scholars. The focus lies on the intellectual spirit of Romanticism and the period from 1945 to 1989, when the castle served primarily as a retreat for writers. Admission is free, and the museum is largely wheelchair accessible.
Nestled in the castle park, the light-filled café in the Orangery offers a perfect place to relax. The building was constructed in 1888–89 by Achim von Arnim-Bärwalde, grandson of Bettina and Achim von Arnim. A visit to the museum pairs wonderfully with a stroll through the park and a slice of cake in this charming setting.
