3rd Wiepersdorf Forum Antisemitism in literary exhibitions

On September 18-19, the 3rd Wiepersdorf Forum on Antisemitism in Literary Exhibitions took place at Schloss Wiepersdorf.

The Forum on Antisemitism in Literary Exhibitions took place for the second time following the successful launch in 2024. It was organized by Dr. Nike Thurn from the German Historical Museum in Berlin, Stella Leder from the Institute for New Social Sculpture and Prof. Dr. Marcel Lepper, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf, together with the Cultural Foundation.

The starting point was the analysis that an intensive examination of literary antisemitism in German literary archives, literary exhibitions and literary museums hasn't happened yet. The forum is designed as a long-term, interdisciplinary exchange on the topic, bringing together scholarly research and practical work in museums, exhibitions, and educational programs. This year’s keynote presentations were delivered by Prof. Dr. Matthias N. Lorenz (Faculty of Philosophy at Leibniz University Hannover), Dr. Christine Achinger (German Studies at the University of Warwick/Visiting Fellow at the Center for Literary and Cultural Research), Dr. Katharina Prager (Vienna City Library), and Michael Hehl (Sulzbach-Rosenberg Literary Archive).
