The Schloss Wiepersdorf Art Workshop for Children is back this September! Over two Sundays, kids aged 7 to 11 can dive into painting, drawing, modeling, and get creative. No need to register in advance.
The Art Workshop for Children is hosted by the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf and led by artist Nick Crowe (Galerie Jägerschere in Wiepersdorf) alongside artists and former Wiepersdorf fellows Kaj Osteroth and Zora Janković.

MUSETHICA IN BRANDENBURG: CLOSING CONCERT

Following last year’s successful premiere, the collaboration between the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf and the international initiative Musethica enters its second round: From September 5 to 11, the Maastricht Society of Music String Quartet (MSM Quartet) will perform at various social institutions in Jüterbog, Herzberg (Elster), Luckau, and the surrounding areas. Throughout the week, the young musicians will be coached and mentored by violinist Sebastian Schmidt.
To wrap up the week, everyone is warmly invited to attend the public closing concert at Schloss Wiepersdorf on September 11 at 5:00 p.m. The program features works by Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn, Ludwig van Beethoven, Béla Bartók, and Joseph Haydn.

NIEWIEDERVEREINIGUNG: READING WITH PAULA FÜRSTENBERG (IN GERMAN)

Author and former Wiepersdorf fellow Paula Fürstenberg will read from her new book, “Niewiedervereinigung – 100 Interjections on German Unity”. Born in Potsdam in 1987 as a “post-Reunification child,” she uses her own life story to shed light on the gaps, errors, and disappointments in the prevailing narrative of German unity.

GROUP FELLOWSHIP: HUMBOLDT RESIDENCY PROGRAM
From August 3 to 14, the twelve participants of the Humboldt Residency Program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation gathered at Schloss Wiepersdorf. The program’s goal is to bring together people from science, the arts, journalism, and politics to jointly develop ideas and share them with audiences beyond academia. In 2026, the program focuses on the theme “Democracy 2.26: Designing Political Participation.”

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK
The café in the Orangery and the museum at Schloss Wiepersdorf are open until the end of September every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
