BETTINNA VON ARNIM‘S MUSICAL WORLDS

What kind of music did Bettina von Arnim write? And what did the world sound like, in which she moved as a writer, composer, and political thinker? The literary-musical salon Bettina von Arnim’s Musical Worlds blends chamber music, vocal performances, and scholarly insights into an afternoon that is part concert, part conversation.
Featuring Gabrielle Ferrari (soprano) and Gerhardt Müller-Goldboom (piano) as well as talks by Dennis Schäfer.

SPRING FESTIVAL 2026 – A LOOK BACK
On May 31, 2026, the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf hosted its annual Spring Festival. Blessed with good weather, more than 800 visitors from the local region, Brandenburg, Berlin, and the surrounding areas accepted the invitation to experience the diverse cultural program on the castle grounds.

Stories from Wiepersdorf
Fellows of the Cultural Foundation publish stories about their experiences and thoughts during their residency at Schloss Wiepersdorf. The latest post, titled “Playfulness”, was written by author Lucy Jones. The text is about the translation of Brigitte Reimann's novel Franziska Linkerhand and about the horse in the paddock next to the castle.

GROUP FELLOWSHIP: WORKSHOP ‘PERSON ON PAPER’
From May 20 to 22, ten scholars from the fields of modern Greek studies, philosophy of law, German studies, comparative literature, cultural studies, and visual cultures gathered in Wiepersdorf for a research workshop. They explored various questions regarding identification, invisibilization, and anonymization as literary practices.

GROUP FELLOWSHIP: INSTITUTE FOR SAXON HISTORY AND CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY (ISGV)
From June 3 to 8, 2026, nine young researchers from the Institute for Saxon History and Cultural Anthropology (ISGV) in Dresden came together to focus on their individual writing projects and engage in interdisciplinary dialogue. The ISGV is a non-university research institution funded by the Free State of Saxony.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK
The café in the Orangery and the museum at Schloss Wiepersdorf are open every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
