On International Museum Day, 19 May, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., the Café in the Orangery and the museum in Wiepersdorf Castle will open. The program includes guided tours of the museum, the preview of the special exhibition "Summoning the Peacock" by Małgorzata Sztremer and concerts with clarinet and horn by composer and scholarship holder Manuel Zwerger at 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the museum.

FELLOWSHIPS IN 2025

In March, the following artists and writers have started their residencies in Wiepersdorf: Atilla Bartis (literature), Dorothea Horas, Barbara Schnalzger, Rocco Thiede (Science/Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany) and Manuel Zwerger (composition).

Until April 15, 2024 you can apply for a fellowship in 2025 at Schloss Wiepersdorf. The application documents can be found here.

RELEASE
ZEIT DER GEISTER (GHOST SEASON)
A novel by Fatin Abbas

The first German edition of author Fatin Abbas' debut novel Zeit der Geister was published by Rowohlt-Verlag on 13 February, 2024.

The original edition was published in 2023 under the title "Ghost Season" by W.W. Norton & Company, New York.

Fatin Abbas was fellow at Schloss Wiepersdorf in summer of 2022.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK

The Café in the Orangery and the Museum in Schloss Wiepersdorf will open this year on May 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. on International Museum Day. Opening hours during the summer months are Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
