FELLOWS IN 2026
An independent jury nominated the 14 artists and academics who will each complete a three-month fellowship at Schloss Wiepersdorf between March and November 2026. These fellowships are funded by the state of Brandenburg.
The following artists and scientists were selected by the jury out of more than 1000 applications from 85 countries:
Humanities and social sciences/topics focusing on the previously divided Germany: Lukas Doil, Deborah Fallis, humanities and social sciences/romanticism: Nico Karge, Olha Lihus, Dennis Schäfer, literature: Lucy Jones, Roee Joseph, Susanne Schädlich, visual arts: eva susova, Joscha Steffens, Taslima Ahmed, and composition: Pierre Fourré, Harald Muenz, Naomi Pinnock
The jury consisted of Prof. Dr Iwan-Michelangelo D'Aprile and Dr Saskia Fischer as well as Dr Danilo Scholz and Dr Daniel Kubiak for humanities and social sciences, Dr Matthias Weichelt and Brigitte Helbling for literature, Katia Reich and Dr Christine Heidemann for visual arts, and Heike Hoffmann and Jens Schubbe for composition.

APPLICATIONS FOR FELLOWSHIPS IN 2027
You can apply for a Fellowship in 2027 from February 15 until April 15, 2026. National and international artists and academics from the fields of humanities and social sciences (romanticism or topics focusing on the previously divided Germany), literature, visual arts and composition are eligible to apply.

VOOO-SPACE: NEW CONTRIBUTION BY MOTTY FOGEL
In a new collaboration between Schloss Wiepersdorf and the Literary Colloquium Berlin (LCB), Wiepersdorf fellows are being featured on VOOO – VILLA OF ONE’S OWN. VOOO is the Literary Colloquium's digital workshop space for guests in-house and online, for translators and authors from around the world. VOOO offers space for collaborative research, joint work, social exchange, and presentations.
The latest contribution to VOOO Space was conceptualized and written as a three-dimensional “table” by former Wiepersdorf Fellow Motty Fogel, where he presents his latest literary project.

MEDIA LIBRARY: “NACHGEFRAGT” WITH LUNA ALI & PAULA MÜLLER
In our “nachgefragt” series, we ask our fellows a few quick questions – today featuring writer Luna Ali and artist Paula Müller, who both spent three months at Schloss Wiepersdorf in summer 2025.

BERLIN LITERATURE PRIZE GOES TO MATTHIAS NAWRAT
Former Wiepersdorf Fellow Matthias Nawrat will be awarded the 2026 Berlin Literature Prize for his outstanding literary work. The prize, worth €30,000, will be presented on February 25 by the Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, in the ballroom of the Rotes Rathaus Berlin. Congratulations!

“SHURA” BY ROEE JOSEPH AT RESIDENZTHEATER MUNICH

Ensemble members of the Residenztheater are presenting a series of new plays from Israel in staged readings. First up is “Shura (שׁוּרהָ). The Craft of Identifying Life” by Roee Joseph, this year's Wiepersdorf fellow, translated from Hebrew by Heiko Mönnich.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK
The café in the Orangery and the museum at Schloss Wiepersdorf are closed during the autumn and the winter time.
The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
