In 2025, the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf had the pleasure of welcoming outstanding fellows, groups, and numerous guests. We have compiled a short report and a picture gallery about the past year, and we look forward to welcoming you again to our events in 2026.

NEW COOPERATION WITH THE CZECH LITERARY CENTRE

To mark the Czech Republic's appearance as guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2026, a special fellowship program for Czech authors and illustrators is now being launched in cooperation with the Czech Literary Center and the Literary Festival in Mariánské Lázně (Knižní lázně). Existing artistic tandems can apply until February 1 for a workshop stay in Wiepersdorf, where they can collaborate on books. The results will be presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair as well as in Wiepersdorf and Mariánské Lázně.

Stories from Wiepersdorf

Fellows of the Cultural Foundation publish stories about their experiences and thoughts during their residency at Schloss Wiepersdorf. The latest post, titled “All States of Being”, was written by author Bettina Gärtner. The text weaves together Vienna and Wiepersdorf, and the present with the year 2018, when she had been there as a fellow before.

BOOK RELEASE: WAISENKIND BY GALIT DAHAN CARLIBACH

The novel Waisenkind (Orphan) by former Wiepersdorf Fellow Galit Dahan Carlibach has been translated from Hebrew into German by Ruth Achlama and is now being published by Kein&Aber. The book tells the story of a young woman named Avital, who fearlessly defies the numerous adversities and setbacks in her life.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK

The café in the Orangery and the museum at Schloss Wiepersdorf are closed during the autumn and the winter time.

The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
