Cone The Weird (Colin Kaesekamp, b. 1979 in Munich) started out in graffiti in 1993, developing an ongoing artistic practice that bridges urban art, drawing, and design. Following work as a storyboard and concept artist in Munich (2001–2003), he studied Communication Design at the University of Fine Arts Saar, graduating with honors in 2008. He has been working as an independent artist and designer ever since. He co-founded the design agency Bureau Stabil (2010) and the artist collective The Weird (2011), and curated exhibitions such as the “4560 – Urban Art Show” (2012). From 2022 to 2024, he served as a visiting professor at HBK Saar.

His visual language is deeply rooted in urban art and muralism, with large-scale facades continuing to define his body of work. Alongside these murals, he creates complex analog drawings that follow the principle of visual sampling: figurative compositions are fragmented, recombined, and recontextualized. Through visual density, he builds multi-layered visual systems marked by precise linework and a distinct signature style. When creating public art, he consistently responds with sensitivity to the specific architecture, site, and surrounding environment.

While his artistic focus is primarily centered in Europe, projects have also taken him to the US, Canada, and Hong Kong. His practice is complemented by international workshops and masterclasses, including at mumok Wien.
