Open Studios and More

The studio doors at Schloss Wiepersdorf will be open on November 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., as current fellows offer insights into their ongoing projects. Guests can look forward to the following program:

Media artist Joscha Steffens and performance artist eva susova are exploring the role of avatars in video games. Their collaborative project merges video art, performance, and gaming into an interactive environment that visitors can try out during a test run.

Street artist Cone The Weird is showcasing a series of drawings on paper and wall murals created during his residency. Titled "L’Orangerie 2", the works reference the castle's outbuilding of the same name and mark a transition from figurative motifs toward abstraction.

Author Silke Peters works across media, focusing on the plant life in and around Wiepersdorf. In her open studio, she will demonstrate a process for making woven fabric from dried plant fibers. Visitors can try out the technique on-site and create small items such as pouches. The presentation will be complemented by a display of her writings crafted on birch bark.

Further contributions by fellows of the Cultural Foundation complement the program with additional artistic perspectives to view and engage with.
