A literary-musical salon featuring Gabrielle Ferrari (soprano) and Gerhardt Müller-Goldboom (piano) and talks by Dennis Schäfer.

What kind of music did Bettina von Arnim write? And what did the world sound like, in which she moved as a writer, composer, and political thinker? The literary-musical salon Bettina von Arnim’s Musical Worlds blends chamber music, vocal performances, and scholarly insights into an evening that is part concert, part conversation.

The program centers on Bettina von Arnim’s own compositions - long overlooked and only recently rediscovered - as well as works from her musical circle. The New York-based soprano and musicologist Dr. Gabrielle Ferrari and the Berlin-based pianist and composer Gerhardt Müller-Goldboom, 2025 Wiepersdorf fellow, will bring Bettina von Arnim’s musical oeuvre to life. The concert will be complemented by insights into Bettina von Arnim’s life, her political and artistic legacy, and how her work has been preserved, presented by Dr. Dennis Schäfer, current fellow at the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf.
