Vocal ensemble Alter Ratio in Wiepersdorf

In a public rehearsal, the award-winning vocal ensemble, conducted by Olga Prykhodko, will present works by Maxim Kolomiiets and Alla Zagaykevych, as well as a new piece by Oleksiia Suk, to the audience in Wiepersdorf.

The vocal ensemble for contemporary music Alter Ratio (Latin for “different thinking”) was founded in 2010. With solo and ensemble works of choral music from the 20th and 21st centuries, the ensemble strives to allow experimentation and introduce non-traditional singing techniques and stage experiences. It is also committed to bringing the best examples of 20th and 21st century academic music to a wide audience and promoting the development of new Ukrainian music.

After the public rehearsal at Schloss Wiepersdorf, the ensemble Alter Ratio will perform in Berlin on October 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. as part of “Vocations – open space” at silent green.

Vocations – open space is an event series organised by Haus für Poesie in cooperation with Junge Akademie, Akademie der Künste, silent green Kulturquartier, the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, and Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf and in 2025 is funded by the German Capital Culture Fund.
