"nachgefragt" with Paula Müller
In German language
The artist Paula Müller spent three months at Schloss Wiepersdorf during the summer of 2025. In the latest edition of our "nachgefragt" series, she answers three brief questions about herself, her work, and her time during the residency.
Paula Müller, born in 1977 in Trier, lives and works in Berlin. She studied Fine Arts at the Academy in Münster under Ulrich Erben and Daniele Buetti, graduating as a master student in 2007. A DAAD scholarship took her to ESBA in Geneva, where she studied with Professor Roesch – an experience that shaped her artistic path. Her work as a scientific illustrator for archaeologists in Germany and abroad has strongly influenced her documentary drawing style. In Wiepersdorf, she explored forms of landscape depiction inspired by Alexander von Humboldt’s travel sketches.
