In our “nachgefragt” series, we ask our fellows a few short questions – today featuring the writer Luna Ali, who spent three months at Schloss Wiepersdorf in the summer of 2025.

Born in Syria, Luna Ali studied Cultural Studies and Aesthetic Practice in Hildesheim, Literary Writing at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig, and Anthropology at Leipzig University. She has worked as an author on productions at, among others, the theatres in Düsseldorf, Dortmund, and Hanover, as well as in Berlin. In 2024, her debut novel “Da waren Tage” was published by S. Fischer.
